Sponsor Boogie

Boogie is an absolutely amazing boy who has now been with Lucky Dog Rescue for almost 1 year! Sadly, this sweet boy has been in paid boarding since he arrived into our rescue and he is continually overlooked by those willing to foster. We can't understand why though, because he is truly a wonderful dog!

Boogie came to us because he found himself homeless at a shelter where he was going to be euthanized. Lucky Dog Rescue stepped in to save him thankfully before he lost his life. We knew that upon arriving into rescue that he had an oddly crooked front leg and he immediately had it checked out by our vet. We were told that it was an old fracture that was never treated and it healed itself in a crooken fashion. We were also told that it was not causing him any discomfort and that he was able to get around on it just fine.

As time has gone on, it has been obvious that his crooked leg was causing him some discomfort, so he was taken to a specialist to see what should be done. They agreed with the initial diagnosis that the leg was an old fracture that healed without proper treatment...but they said he does need to have surgery on the leg in order to live a pain free life.

He needs to have surgery where they will cut the bone in half, straighten out the leg and put a plate in for it to heal correctly. In order to have this surgery that is estimated to cost upwards of $3,000, we need 2 things: #1 DONATIONS TO HELP PAY FOR THIS SURGERY and #2 A FOSTER HOME TO RECOVER IN...HE CAN NOT RECOVER FROM THIS SURGERY IN PAID BOARDING!!!

We desperately need your help to give Boogie this surgery that he needs to live a pain free life AND we need your help in finding this special boy a loving home environment in the form of a foster OR adoptive home!

Boogie is an extremely friendly fawn and white-colored Pit Bull Terrier-mix that would love nothing more than to be in a loving home environment! He is a young boy that is approximately 2 years old and is medium sized weighing about 45 pounds. Boogie is a very friendly boy that loves everyone that he meets and he also gets along well with other dogs. He has a very silly and playful personality and loves to run around like a nut and play. He would make a wonderful addition to a family that is looking for a fun, friendly and loyal pet!
